HIGHLINE MOUNTAIN BIKING

Highline Mountain Biking is located on private property on the edge of Mansfield township in Victorian High Country, Australia. It is a purpose-built Mountain Bike event hub, training and coaching facility, product testing grounds and a FUN provider. Highline is closed to the public outside of select schedule weekends throughout the year.

Highline launched in 2018, showcasing the unique and exciting world of mountain bike freeride culture at a Jam Session on Mt Buller. From there on it has grown into what i now its own world.

Freeride is a discipline of mountain biking closely related to downhill biking and dirt jumping, with a focus on tricks, style, and technical trail features. It is now recognised as one of the most popular disciplines within mountain biking.

Highline’s main event and attraction is the slopestyle competition, supported by a speed n style, dual slalom race, whip off and gravity race. As the sport continues to grow, Highline will push the envelope, introducing new events, rider development/skills coaching and races each year.

We are proud to be a FMB World Tour event provider, not only is Highline Venue a major drawcard for riders, freeride mountain bike events are the biggest and coolest spectator sports going around.

Shannon Rademaker - Park Manager

My passion for the bike industry, riding and pushing boundaries lead me to building and providing a facility for mountain bikers to ride, compete, coach, develop, create new experiences and have FUN like no other place in Australia!.

“My goal is to provide a fun mountain bike event for everyone, a platform for Australian riders to compete in freeride, and support for Australia’s first rider to compete in a Crankworx Slopestyle”.

DISCIPLINES

SLOPESTYLE

An increasingly popular discipline that maximises air-time so riders can pull freeride BMX style tricks. Slopestyle courses consist of a series of jumps, large drops, purpose built timber features such as a whale tail, boner log and canon.

Each rider has two runs of the course, two judges will score their run out of 100. Highest score wins.

WHIP OFF

The whip off is an expression session of who can throw down the most style and angled whip on a BIG jump. This event is full of energy, culture and pure entertainment.

DUAL SLALOM

Dual Slalom is a mountain bike race discipline that has been around for decades. It consists of two riders, racing down a slope on two almost identical tracks side-by-side.

The courses are typically short; one run lasting approximately 30 seconds. It is filled with tabletop jumps, doubles and bermed turns.
It is an absolute spectacle!

GRAVITY

Gravity simply put, is downhill mountain biking, with shuttle uplifts. Highline Mountain Biking has a range of purpose built gravity trails, catering to all tastes and abilities.

In a gravity style event, riders race the clock on a descending mountain bike course. Fastest time wins.

SPEED ‘N STYLE

Speed ‘n Style is a dual laned mirrored course with berms and jumps to be scored on. Riders race head to head for fastest time and two judged tricks for best overall score and time winner of each round goes through.
